Nursery progress...

Jeff and I have really enjoyed getting Emersyn's room ready for her! Jeff worked hard and painted the whole nursery pink, and then we had a friend from church come out and paint the main wall argyle! We are so excited with how it turned out! Her furniture is slowly coming in and we are getting ready to add the final touches! Here is a picture of the wall, and we will continue to add more pictures as we get things together!

North Carolina Shower!

Emersyn and I had such a great time in North Carolina this weekend! We got to spend a lot of time with sweet family and friends and Emersyn got a lot of great things at her first shower! Thank you so much to everyone who came, it was so good to see you all! Here are a few pictures of the shower! Emersyn really liked the cake!!!

18 Weeks

Head to rump, your baby is about 5 1/2 inches long about the length of a bell pepper and he weighs almost 7 ounces. He's busy flexing his arms and legs — movements that you'll start noticing more and more in the weeks ahead. His blood vessels are visible through his thin skin, and his ears are now in their final position, although they're still standing out from his head a bit. A protective covering of myelin is beginning to form around his nerves, a process that will continue for a year after he's born. If you're having a girl, her uterus and fallopian tubes are formed and in place. If you're having a boy, his genitals are noticeable now, but he may hide them from you during an ultrasound.

Baby Capps is growing! I can now feel him or her moving around, and we are starting to think it will have a personality like its daddy. As far as I can feel it is very active, and every time we go to the doctor it takes a minute to find the heartbeat because it is moving around so much! We are very excited to find out what it is next Friday! We are ready to call this baby by name and get started on the nursery!
We will keep you all posted and I will post belly pictures soon!

BIG NEWS....

Yes, I know its has been a while, but I am going to be working on it... especially since in June I will have a lot more to blog about! We are pregnant! We are expecting a precious blessing on June 27th. We found out mid October and have been dying to let people know, we shared with family on Thanksgiving and then we have been telling others once we were able to see the baby and meet with the doctor! We are so excited for this new chapter in our lives and look forward to enjoying the next few months preparing for our little one! Here are a few pictures of the journey so far!

SO BUSY!

I apologize for totally forgetting about our blog since May! I have great intentions of every time I sit at the computer to update our blog, but it just does not happen! I really mean it this time when I say that I am going to try to update more often! : ) I do not have many pictures to post tonight, just a few that are on Jeff's computer. Here are a few of the major things that have happened since I last posted:
1. We went on family vacation to Myrtle Beach with Jeff's family, we had a great time and really enjoyed hanging out with family and celebrating Lee's 50th!
2. Lee came back to Texas with us and for a week, Jeff and him painted the whole house! It was so nice and I know that Jeff really enjoyed the time with his dad
3. A week later Jeff and I moved in to our new house with the help of my parents and brothers, it was a crazy weekend but we could not have done it without them!
4. 2 days after moving into our new house, Jeff left for his summer camps for 3 weeks, so what did that mean for me??? I went to my parents house to stay : )
5. While Jeff was out of town, my family suffered a great loss when my grandfather went to be with the Lord on July 13th, it was a very hard time for my family but we rejoice in the comfort and peace of knowing that he is with our Creator! Jeff was able to fly in for the day of my grandfather funeral.
6. August 1st, we threw a surprise 50th birthday for my mom, I thought for sure that she had an idea, but she was clueless, it was so much fun and I will be posting pictures soon!
7. And last but not least, on July 1st Jeff started a new full time job, he is now the Next Generation Worship Pastor at our church The Village! This is a huge answered prayer for Jeff and I. Since being married we have really connected and felt like The Village was our home and where we needed to plug in and grow. We have been praying that if it was the Lords will for Jeff to work there, that He would allow for something to open up! Praise the Lord, Jeff is going on his second month at the church and absolutely loving it, not to mention, I love that he is home and that he is no longer having to travel!

So needless to say, it has been a busy summer, and although that does not give me an excuse for not blogging, I am going to use it as my excuse! Maddie is adjusting well to the new house and loves that she now has a backyard to run around in! Here are a few pictures of the house as it was a work in progress, we have already done so much to the house but I will save those for my next post!
